The Haymarket Hotel is spread over 3 grade II Victorian town houses, built in the middle of the 19th century as part of the new town, they were primarily inhabited by wealthy merchants, businessmen and professionals of the day, we have sympathetically converted these historic buildings to offer 40 comfortable well appointed , modern bedrooms, whilst retaining the charm and character of the period.
Our sister Hotel, the Lairg, is situated on the same street , two doors up and offers a further 26 bedrooms also appointed to the highest of standards.

We are situated in an enviable position in Edinburgh's west end, part of Edinburgh’s new town world heritage site. Only a short 2 minute walk from the hotel is the Haymarket train station, tram lines and air link bus service. 50 metres away are conveniently placed express bus link to the city centre.
Princess Street, The Edinburgh International conference centre, Murrayfield stadium and The Gallery of Modern art are all within a 10 minute walk. With the Edinburgh castle and the old town all within a 20 minute walk.
A wide selection of quality bars, restaurants and cafes are in the vicinity as well as a host of interesting and quirky shops, including the Bagpipe shop, kilt hire and sales, handicraft shop, Vietnamese gallery, Chinese specialist tea shop and wedding cake specialist all within 100 metres walk from the Hotel. The whisky shop is a 5 minute walk towards Murrayfield stadium.
